Our School

At East Hamilton Hill Primary School, we are proud to be a vibrant, inclusive school community where every child is known, valued, and supported to thrive. Our commitment is simple and unwavering: ensure every student experiences success, grows academically and personally, and feels deeply connected to their school.

Our school motto, Inspired Learning, Inspired Future, is more than words; it reflects our daily work to create curious, confident, and capable learners who are ready to embrace opportunities and contribute positively to their world.

Our staff are dedicated professionals who work collaboratively across all year levels to deliver high-quality, evidence-based teaching. Guided by our 2025–2027 Business Plan, we maintain a sharp focus on Quality Teaching and Learning, Effective Partnerships, and a Safe, Supportive Learning Environment. Our English and Mathematics Operational Plans outline clear expectations for consistency, explicit instruction, and targeted intervention so that every child is supported to make progress.

In English, our tiered approach includes Heggerty, UFLI Foundations, Talk for Writing, and a whole-school commitment to rich reading experiences. In Mathematics, programs such as Origo/Stepping Stones, daily review, and explicit lesson design ensure students build strong conceptual understanding and fluency. These approaches are strengthened through data-informed planning, disciplined dialogue, and purposeful small-group instruction to address individual student needs.

Students also have the opportunity to shine through our specialist programs in Noongar Language, Music, Physical Education, Science and Technologies, as well as through the Primary Extension and Challenge Program and the Instrumental Music Program.

Our values of Cooperate, Aspire, Respect, and Excel are central to everything we do. They guide our Positive Behaviour Support framework and underpin the healthy relationships and strong sense of belonging we cultivate. With support from our chaplain, and through initiatives such as improvisation groups and team-building activities, we strengthen students’ wellbeing, confidence, and connection to others. These programs, alongside Protective Behaviours and our broader wellbeing focus, help build resilience and positive social engagement in all learners.

We are incredibly fortunate to have a proactive School Board and P&C, whose partnership strengthens our connection with families and the wider community. Events like our CARE Breakfast bring families together in meaningful ways, celebrating culture, community, and shared purpose. These breakfasts, held twice a year, reinforce our commitment to ensuring families feel welcomed, valued, and connected to the life of the school.

At EHHPS, we believe wholeheartedly that schools do better when we work together. Our families, community partners, staff, and students each play an important role in creating a school we can all be proud of. Together, we are building the foundations for bright futures and inspired learners.
